Analyzing consumer protection for gamblers across different online gambling operators: A descriptive study

Abstract

The study examined 50 online gambling websites for responsible gambling (RG) practices. Findings were not consistent when looking at the different operators. Some operators demonstrated a high commitment to RG through the information and options available, but other operators lacked these RG initiatives. Authors recommended that a strategic framework is needed to establish RG oriented policies based on empirical studies that in turn will reduce any possible social-political influences.
