In-running (in-play) betting: Issues paper


Consultation on the regulation of in-running (in-play) betting. Considers that in-running betting may be symptomatic of or conducive to problem gambling and seeks information on whether the volume and repetition of betting by in-running betting customers points towards a potential risk for problem gambling, or whether this is just an inherent characteristic of this type of gambling. The Gambling Commission argues in its post-consultation position paper that there has not been evidence to suggest that in-running betting poses a specific, identifiable risk to problem gambling as opposed to other forms of betting or online gambling.
